We are bringing a group to town, and on Sat are doing a 9th Ward tour. (its an insurance group, but very fun) Last time we did this we had a great lunch at Cafe Roux, but it's now closed.

Would love any recommdations...very casual, please

Most any of the reasonable cost places could do it if you were willing to do 3 X 8 or other breakdown. Going past a ten top makes it tough on a lot of places.

One good choice if the bus can drop you off is the back room at Mandinas on Canal.

Otherwise you are going to have to make special arrangements in a side room at some place like Napoleon House

Thank you! That's really good knowledge, as I have never been part of the industry, and so don't see it through the restaurants eyes.

We wound up getting a special lunch at The Uptowner, Mary and Greg Sonnier are doing a little demo and then feeding us...

Cool. Give us a review please! And maybe let us know a little about their "terms". Size range, cost range.

I haven't heard anything specific about the current Sonnier operation and it might fit some of the requests we see for receptions, family gatherings, ets.
