Where can i find whole nutmeg in Montreal?

I like the fair-trade, whole nutmeg they sell in little packets at Dix Mille Villages. There's a branch on Monkland in NDG, among others.

Just about everywhere from bulk food stores to supermarkets to gourmet stores to specialized spice stores.

      What neighbourhood are you in?

Lasalle. I have seen whole cinnamon around, but not nutmeg :(

I don't know Lasalle that well, hopefully Porker will chime in, but you could have a look at the "bulk" spices section of your local supermarket. The one with herbs and spices all packaged in the same little plastic boxes. They don't always have whole nutmeg, but it's a good place to look. You could also try Punjab Foods on Newman South of Dollard. I don't know if Frutta Si has whole nutmeg, but it could be worth a look.

Les Douceurs de Marché at the Atwater Market has it.

Spice Station on Monkland and in the Mile-End will assuredly have some.
