Foxwoods conference... please help!

I'm from Boston and have a mid-week conference at Foxwoods next week, and I'm trying to plan a couple of good dinners and/or drinks for myself to break up the days.

I'm omnivorous and allergy-free, so no limitations there. I won't be on expenses, so I'd like somewhere I can have dinner and a drink for no more than $30 - but I can drop the drink if the food is worth the extra money. Alternatively, if there's a decent bar I could grab dinner at one of the (cough) chains and linger over a couple of drinks.

My aim is to sneak away from my work people and curl up with a good book, so while the restaurant/bar doesn't need to be dead quiet, I'd like somewhere less hectic if possible. If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it!
