Working lunch near Union Station

Hello, I need to find a decent restaurant near Union Station to meet someone for a quiet working lunch during a weekday (my working partner is arriving by train). I'm only familiar with the two Irish restaurants nearby & I assume those are not quiet. We will be walking to the restaurant. Thank you.

You could head the other direction and hit the Monocle. A Senate side standby.

There are a couple of good choices in that area. Johnny's Half Shell is good. I also really like Bistro Bis and Art and Soul.

Toscana has outdoor tables and nice sandwiches and salads. Cheaper and quiet if it is a nice day out.

hmmm...Johnny's Half Shell looks great. My only concern is the price. Do you think it too expensive when you assume the other person is picking up the tab (lunch is at their invitation, but they are from out of country which is why I'm selecting the restaurant).

This is DC - food is expensive. Johnny's is actually pretty reasonably priced for that area. I'll throw out Art & Soul and Bistro Bis as well, but they're not going to be cheaper.

If price is a concern Art and Soul is probably the most affordable, but none of these are cheap.

            Johnny's half shell should work.
