Duck Blood Tofu

Does anyone know where I can buy duck blood tofu (鴨血豆腐)? I tried three markets in Chinatown and they only have pig blood.

  1. I've been looking for this too! Do you know of any restaurants that serve this? I've been asking around and have had no luck yet.

Congee City (not Congee Village) has two duck blood 鴨紅 dishes on the menu but won't actually serve them. Flushing might have duck blood soup 鴨血湯 somewhere.

But I'm specifically looking to buy some to take home. A friends wants to try cooking it. Does anyone know where I can buy some?

Hmm, is Congee City always out of duck blood soup or is there some other reason as to why they won't serve it?

I've casually looked in Flushing as well and think that this should be posted on the Outer Boroughs board to see if you get any feedback there.

And I am also interested in cooking it at home, so any leads would be great.

Try Main Street Imperial in Flushing - I know they have at least 4-5 duck blood dishes.

I need a grocery store that sell duck blood in chunks. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Duck blood cubes should be pretty common. For instance, I saw them in the frozen food section of The Elmhurst Grocery (formerly NY Supermarket), 8266 Broadway in Queens, just a few days ago.

Thanks very much, all, for the question and answers!

Congee Village has two duck blood dishes on the menu, and I've had both of them. They were both good, though salty. One was with yellow chives, as I remember, and the other was with ginger.
