Hook's Lobster Roll
This may be old news to some but it''s new to me. My major gripe with them was I didn't like the untoasted roll..and generally just ate the lobster. Today I went in and they asked if I wanted the roll toasted. They also had lobster mac n cheese, fish/ clam chowder abd lobster bisque.
They seem to be moving towards being more of a "casual restaurant" than they were in the past; maybe 4-5 little tables inside..probably 8 people eating in.
They sell a $12 reg size and a larger $15 version. For $15, this is a great value..and the lobster is superb as always.

Well, stick to the lobster roll, even untoasted.
I had the lobster mac n cheese and the fish chowder last night. Both were subpar.
The fish chowder was especially disappointing. I thought "fish chowder" was code for "this is the real chowder, not the overly thick glop tourists expect from clam chowder." But, while the fish in the soup was good (though EXTREMELY few pieces), the chowder itself was REALLY thick and gloppy, way gloppier than Legal's. Disappointing.
The lobster mac n cheese looked like they mixed some very good lobster with some Annie's. And tasted about the same. Way too rich, also.
Maybe I'll try the lobster bisque. That seems harder to do wrong, perhaps. Not going to be rushing back for that, thought. Wish I just got the roll!
