Good/ Fun places to take kids for a long weekend in Chicago with food Mom and Dad will like too
Looking for family-friendly (but good) option for downtown in the 500 S Michigan area (within 2-3 miles). Breakfast/lunch & dinner
Any good suggestions?

You didn't mention ages of kids, but Buca di Beppo serves family-size portions of Italian food and is always full of family groups with kids so you don't have to worry about noise. Grand & Rush, about a block from your hotel. Kids might also like Big Bowl (Ohio just west of Rush), a cheery Lettuce Entertain You venue specializing in Asian stir-fries. Also, forgive me for this, kids like the huge Rock'n' Roll McDonald's,Ontario & Clark. However, if your kids are hungry teenage boys, there's an argument for Fogo de Chao at lunch (half the price of dinner) where ad lib meat just keeps coming, prix fixe. All of these places have websites with maps, menus.
