For my wife's birthday, I want to make a cake featuring white chocolate. What are your favorites?
The first Baked cookbook has a whiteout cake. White cake with white chocolate frosting. I haven't made it, but it sounds great in the description.

Do a search for David Lebovitz's Caramelized White Chocolate Cake... caramelizing the white chocolate takes it to a whole new level... i often caramelize white chocolate now for panna cotta even.
Emme, Maxie, and Chowser---what brand of white chocolate do you use? I have yet to find a brand that I think is excellent.Thanks.
I'm not a big fan of white chocolate and tend to use it only when baking for someone who does but generally I find people who love white chocolate baked goods aren't particular. I use Ghirardelli because it's easy to get and not too expensive.
soccer mom, El Rey is my favorite, but Callebaut is my most often used.

I have only bought it at Central Market in Texas, but I order cocoa from Chocosphere or World Wide Chocolate.

I use Callebaut because it is what is easily available.
This DeDe Wilson recipe is good filled with lemon curd and raspberries, frosted with white chocolate buttercream.
This used to be my go-to white chocolate cake:
It's been a while since I made it, though. I would make it for a friend who loves white chocolate. She especially liked the frosting.
