Lunch on Sat.-upper west side
Looking for recommendations for lunch on Sat. between Grand Central Station and W.72nd. Open to anything- fine dining, ethnic, etc. Something unique to NY.

Ahh the Modern and Jean Georges, though expensive, are great suggestions.
I would also suggest:
- The 79th St Boat Basin (spectacular view but gets very crowded when the weather is nice so plan to get there early)
- Fairway Cafe (UWS)
- Fiorello's (the food isn't as good as it used to be in 90's when I ate there as a kid, but if you all wanted to go there for dessert, the profiteroles are excellent :)
- Island Burger (Midtown)
- Menchanko- Tei (Ramen, Midtown)
- Joe's Shanghai (soup dumplings in Midtown, if you don't wanna head all the way to Chinatown) -

re: H Manning
Good list. Two things to note: The Modern Dining Room does not serve lunch on Saturday, but the Bar Room does. Per Se and La Grenouille require jackets.
