La Rosa Nautica (Peruvian) - Greenacres

Was down in Lakeworth this past weekeend and stopped in at this storefront. Had read about them on idine.com. When we arrived for dinner there was nobody in the main room of the restaurant, but a family celebration (non-Peruvian I might add) was in the other room.

They have a liquor license but no problem bringing your own wine (no corkage fee) which we did. Salted Peruvian corn nuts on the table were great. Two appetizers - Yucca Frita a la Huancaina (fried yucca topped with cheese and yelloow pepper sauce was delish. Other app was Anticuchos (grilled chunks of beef hearts sauteed and seasoned with Peruvian spices - was good, but not delish. Mains were Pescado a Lo Macho/MaleFish (a large filet of fish pan fried combined with calamari, scallops, and shrimp in some kind of sauce) - again deelish. And Lomo Saltado - very good. Everything was very fresh. Service at the beginning a little slow as they had that party in the next room, but once the food started arriving it was fine. People very friendly.

Prices very reasonable and worth a visit for something different in the neighborhood!

I wonder if this is affiliated with La Rosa Nautica in Boca on US-1 and 20th. I really like the Boca resto.
