Looking for duck confit

Nyleve Mar 28, 2012 09:54 AM

Anyone know where one might find this in Toronto? Not at a restaurant, but rather to finish and serve at home. Thanks -

White House Meats at SLM, Cumbrae's or often the Healthy Butcher.

In addition, Cheese Boutique has it.

All Alex Farms locations should have it. And I think I saw it at Patisserie La Cigogne.

Sorry I was thinking of duck rillettes, not confit with whole duck pieces

I buy duck leg confit at Longo's in the frozen section. Tasty.

Bruno's Fine Foods, e.g. at Yonge and St. Clair.

Thanks for the help. This was actually for a friend but since we were invited to dinner it was definitely to my benefit to help him find the confit. Anyway he picked up what he needed at the St. Lawrence Market - don't know which vendor. Dinner was delicious.
