Gershwin Theatre on a Friday night @8pm - best place to eat beforehand?

My wife and I are coming into town on April 13th to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary... going to see Wicked on Friday night (the 13th) at 8pm.

Would like to hear a few recommendations of a neat place to eat within a block or two of Gershwin.

Any kind of food is fine... just looking for atmosphere/uniqueness.

Around $100-$150 budget.

Thanks a bunch.

For high end, maybe Le Bernardin or Oceana. They're two of the top seafood restaurants in the city. Le Bernardin is the more famous and critically acclaimed of the two. Both are two blocks away, a very easy 5-minute walk from the theater.

For casual atmosphere, Toloache offers great Mexican cuisine and it's right next-door to the Gershwin.

If you don't mind eating (delicious) pizza, Don Antonio serves some of the city's most amazing Neaplitan pizzas. It's right across the street from the theater.

Oh, there's also The Palm if you enjoy steak. It's across the street too.

Thank you... I just looked at Oceana... they have a pre/post-Theatre menu for a very reasonable price... how does that work exactly?

I believe Oceana's pre-Theater menu is offered before 6pm or 6:30pm (don't remember which). 3 courses for $49, with a number of choices for each course.
