  1. While I ordinarily discourage people from Pier 39, the Eagle Cafe located there has pretty decent breakfasts, opens at 7:30 AM, couldn't be more conveniently located for you to hop on the Alcatraz Ferry just a couple blocks away.

    1. If you can be the first in line at 8am at Mama's on Washington Square - it's not too far from where you need to catch the ferry. But: be the first in line to avoid the wait.

      1. Not sure where your hotel is, but we had the most incredible breakfast at Canteen. We took the 8 am reservation because it was the only one left. Don't go without a reservation - do make one, you won't regret it! Pancake and french toast were so good.

        1. I don't know what time the Prather Ranch take-out opens on Sunday, but the breakfast sandwiches are great. Many days it opens quite early. Unfortunately, they don't list hours on their site.
