early sunday breakfast

looking for a quick, easy breakfast on sunday morning on the way to catch the ferry to alcatraz (taking the 9:30 cruise)....i was thinking the ferry building (staying at omni but it looks like some spots dont open until 10 (boulettes, miette).....thanks

I don't know what time the Prather Ranch take-out opens on Sunday, but the breakfast sandwiches are great. Many days it opens quite early. Unfortunately, they don't list hours on their site.

Not sure where your hotel is, but we had the most incredible breakfast at Canteen. We took the 8 am reservation because it was the only one left. Don't go without a reservation - do make one, you won't regret it! Pancake and french toast were so good.

If you can be the first in line at 8am at Mama's on Washington Square - it's not too far from where you need to catch the ferry. But: be the first in line to avoid the wait.

While I ordinarily discourage people from Pier 39, the Eagle Cafe located there has pretty decent breakfasts, opens at 7:30 AM, couldn't be more conveniently located for you to hop on the Alcatraz Ferry just a couple blocks away.
