Jewel Of Himalaya in Yorktown Heights (yes, Yorktown Heights) - Indian, Tibetan, And Nepalese

So, for everyone who has bemoaned the lack of ethnic restaurants (other than Asian and Italian) in Yorktown, here's a new one -- Jewel Of Himalaya in the Triangle Shopping Center. They say they have Indian, Tibetan, and Nepalese food. The menu looks interesting.

Website is .

They just opened on Monday. Initial posts on their Facebook page seem positive.

Yes, and i am really embarrassed to say that I haven't been there yet. I need to try them.

    2. I went last night with my husband and son. My only tiny complaint was that the food took a long time to come out (I was hungry!). But everything was very delicious. I had the saag paneer, one of my favorite dishes, and I can honestly say it was the best rendition I've ever had. The spicing was just perfect. The table behind us was gushing to the staff about how much they loved their dinners as well. My son had beef tika masala, and my husband had a tandori chicken. Both were great. The pricing is quite low, certainly compared to India House. I definitely recommend it.
