30th Birthday Dinner near Castiglion Fiorentino
Would love a recomendation for dinner near the town of Castiglion Fiorentino which is 20 km from Arezzo, less than 30 minutes away, less than 200 euro for 2 people with wine. Non-touristy. rustic. Meat, pasta, fish, delicious but doesn't have to be fancy. thank you.

Hi, Lindsay,
This is not intended to be mean or rude, but there is a vast amount of information available on this board in prior posts. Here's the drill: first, read the prior posts for each location. Make some preliminary decisions from the info already posted. Then, post again with some tentative plans and additional questions (and I would recommend separate posts by location). At that point, you'll get suggestions from others.Must do your homework first on this board.

Oh, I know. I've been travelling to Italy for 20+ years and am about to embark on my first solo trip to Rome (husband joining me later in Ravello). I've been spending much time on this board of late. Trust me, it will all come together. Fred Plotkin's book, Italy for the Gourmet Traveler, is a bit dated but very good. Also, Maureen Fant wrote the Rome volume of the Williams-Sonoma "Authentic Recipes" series, which gives a great introduction to the food of that city. Those are good to get you started.
