Perspective on Pesach Shopping

Let me start by thanking everyone who offerred suggestions on where to shop in Atlanta. We ended up at both the Kroger and Publix at Toco Hills and were very happy campers. My 10-year-old has never seen a kosher butcher counter or bakery in a grocery store and was blown away by the availability of kosher sushi in the refrigerated case. She was completely amazed to see people with kippot both working and shopping in a standard grocery store and was even more surprised that some of the men with kippot were beardless.

The best comment, however, came when she noted the floor space given over to KP and other kosher products versus the relatively small size of the Easter displays. One of her pet peeves is how "in your face" the Easter candy displays are during Passover season.

"It's like Opposite World!"

Amen, sister.
