Messa Kosher Restuarant, Hollywood, Florida
I have tried in vain to reach Messa in Hollywood by telephone. Any news on whether it has closed? The number I dialed is out of service- 954-985-9909. We went there during Chol HaMoed Pesach last year and really liked it. Also in the same plaza (5650 Stirling Road), there was a great kosher market, and we took out some great items, but the name escapes me.
I have generally been having difficulty determing which restaurants will be open for Pesach (Miami Beach/NMB, Aventura and South Broward), and haven't come across a centralized database. Any and all information will be most helpful...thanks in advance.

Hi Sherry, Messa is closed. Nothing of that level anymore in Broward county. The supermarket is Aroma (one of our favorites). Another good market is Jacob's Classic Market in the Gulfstream Park in Hallandale. Two noteworthy restaurants are Cine Citta and harbour grill, both in bal harbour Miami. Open in pesach, I don't know. Good luck

Thanks so much for the info. The address of Messa (too bad about the closure) was 5650 Stirling...maybe I am confused, but thought I thought Aroma was in a plaza further west on Stirling and I am thinking of a different store. I am a regular at Jacob's and Kosher Kingdom....so nice to have the choices. When there's competition, the customer wins!

Ate at China Bistro about 6 times this winter Nice to eat outdoors in a fun atmosphere A bit pricey Food seems to have come down a notch compared to a few years ago, but still great!! Love the Dan Dan noodles with ground chicken Ask for it extra spicy if you can handle it Very good Hot and Sour soup. Extraordinary Mojitos!! ( and you always meet someone you know!!)

Thx...I have never been to Aroma...will definitely check it out. The parking at Kosher Kingdom is indeed legendary. I try to go very early in the morning.. By the way, does anybody know if they sell Elite chocolate "flaky" bars in Florida? They are packaged ina plastic wrapper. I am coming down from Toronto before Pesach and usually buy a box of 24 up here, but can't seem to find them.
