Fundamental LA on Westwood Blvd.is wonderful. Everything is homemade. Amazing sandwiches and salads Menu changes weekly. Highly recommended.

Really good build your own pizza at 800 Degrees. Inexpensive and tasty. Great ingredients.. Very busy. Worth the wait in line.

A branch of Ramen Yamadaya is also open. While not as good as the original Torrance location, it is still delicious.

Attari - the osh-e joe or ab-goosht are musts. Many tout their koobideh, but their kabobs in general are good.

and their persian style sandwiches are pretty good too, especially the cutlet and hot dog varietals.

Pastina a bit south of Wilshire on the east side of Westwood is a good, reasonably priced Italian, with full bar.

For casual fare, there is also Pitfire for quality pizza, salads and paninis, California Chicken Cafe for rotisserie chicken and Sunnin for great Lebanese.
