Please suggest fresh frozen wild alaskan salmon at TJs, Costco, or New Seasons
I keep reading that fresh frozen salmon if it is of high quality is almost as good as fresh. Sounds fishy looking for suggestions from huge selection that don't taste that way. Product can be marinated or not, fillets or salmon burgers. Goal is healthy lunch or snack. Thx.
We were just in Costco in Brick, NJ over the weekend. They were offering samples of Frozen Marinated Salmon. I can't remember the name but it came in a black box and you got 6 fillets. It was delicious! Not fishy at all as salmon could sometimes be. Even my husband liked it and he is no fan of salmon. I would've bought it but I spent too much money already.
I like the wild Alaskan salmon burgers that are sold frozen at Costco. Great on toast with mayo and sriracha, or mayo and kimchi, or just by themselves.
I have never had great luck with frozen fish at TJ's. Seems like the vacuum-sealed packages are often not sealed very well.
