Old school southern fried foods in Sarasota

I love good southern fried goodies but they are going to the wayside. I hope I am just going to the wrong places. Things like fried green tomatoes, okra, pickles, gator tail, corn nuggets, chicken livers.(you see where I am going here, yes?) Please grace me with your chowhound knowledge for good tidbits of fried munchies. Thanks
