Thirteen Street was crowed with curbside tables of TGIF and TGIS(spring) revelers. Barbuzzo was packed inside and out. Our expectations of a good dinner were a bit diminished by the exuberance of the drinkers. We were all extremely impressed with the small plates which followed a few cocktails. Everything was special and good on its own. The smoked pork, the pasta dishes, the pizza, sardines and even the smallest cheese board in the world had quite special and interesting small bites. Service was friendly and prompt considering the navigation required to get through the maze of bodies.
The wonderful small plates will have us braving the crowds which we may be able to diminish with a selection of other than a Friday night.
