Party Platters for Bridal Shower

Hi! I am hosting a bridal shower for about 25 women. It will be lunch and we are super open to the type of food. I think most of the guests are pretty adventurous but dont want anything too heavy since it is a lunch. Also price is a consideration since I will be hosting this on my own...Please let me know if you have any fun ideas. The more creative, the better! Thanks!!

I agree with the Clementine recommendation they also have some very nice salads. I'd also recommend Mendicino Farms.

Side note I recently holster a bridal shower for the same amount and I opted to make some tea sandwiches which ended up being extremely yummy and paired it with some salads and desserts.

    Smoked Salmon Tea Sandwich
8 thin slices rye bread, 5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon low-fat cream cheese, 1/2 english (hothouse) cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced diagonally, 4 ounces thinly sliced smoked salmon, 1/2 medium red onion, very thinly sliced, 1 teaspoon drained capers, rinsed and patted dry, freshly ground pepper, 1 lemon, cut into wedges

    Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Toast bread slices in oven on a baking sheet, turning once, until golden, about 10 minutes. Spread 2 teaspoons cream cheese on each toast. Divide cucumber, salmon, onions, and capers among toasts; season with pepper. Squeeze lemon juice on top.

Chive Cream Cheese and Cucumber Tea Sandwiches
    cream cheese, chives, cucumber

Mix chives into the softened cream cheese. Spread 1 side of 1 slice of bread with the chive cream cheese. Top with a few slices of cucumber and then with another slice of bread.

An assortment of half-sandwiches and appetizers from Cafe Brasil looks pretty affordable.....

        what part of town?
at ayara thai cuisine, tonight, i saw a birthday party of 23 people.
        food there is solid.
i'm sure they'd set you up with platters to serve at home if you prefer.
