Hong Kong and Macau Food Trip (but with limited mobility)
I will be travelling w/ my family (2 seniors + 1 child + 1 teenager) to Macau (1 night) and HK (2 nights). Although this would have been my 5th trip to HKG, I have not been able to try out the restos normally recommended here primarily due to their location. We used to stay at the Disney Hotel and it is too much effort for my oldies to travel the distance to eat. Now, I have better hopes as we will be staying at the JW Marriott in HKG.
Here are some of the things I have been craving to try in HKG.
1) Wonton Noodles
2) Roasted Duck (I really dont mind eating this everyday as I cant find decent roast duck in the Philippines)
3) Roast Suckling Pig (this is also not very common in the Philippines and can be quite expensive in the better restos)
4) MIlk Tea
I would appreciate if you can give recommendations on places (with addresses) that are better options (not necessarily the best as I know most of the time these are hole in the walls, out of the way places) that are verly close or at least an MTR ride away from our hotel. My aunt has arthritis so walking is also a bit of a problem. Although I dont mind take aways that I will just bring back to our hotel to feast on. Although proximity to the MTR is still my best bet:
In Macau, we will be staying at the Venetian. It is a first time for all of us and again due to the limited mobility, we might not have the option to venture out too much. Given this, any recommendations on good places to try in and around the Venetian will be great.
I would also like to try the Portuguese egg tarts but not quite sure which one is worth the trip out--Lord Stow's or Margaret's.
Really looking forward to everyone's inputs on this.
