Cooking class near Rome - Great Experience
If you are going to Rome and love Italian food, italian cooking and want a day trip out into the Roman countryside to see the 'real' italy, I highly recommend Convivio Rome www.conviviorome.com . I travelled with my husband and our teenage daughter to do a One Day Cooking-Touring Experience with Guido (head cook and 7th generation Roman who speaks English perfectly) and Sally (his Australian wife) in their home in Toffia. Toffia is a medieval hilltop village, only 40 minutes north of Rome and it is just like a movie set, unbelievably breath-taking. We were all really blown away by not only Toffia, but by Guido and Sally and their warm hospitality. The cooking lesson was not only interesting but Guido made it alot of fun....and we learnt so much! There was 6 of us in our group (others from England and Australia) and we all agreed on our way back home in the train to Rome that it was the highlight of our trip. Great experience and we hope to return some day soon.
