Charlotte Business Dinner Near Convention Center

Hello - I need to book a business dinner in a high end restaurant for 3 people preferably somewhat near the Charlotte Convention Center next week. I don't know the area at all, but my preliminary research here gave me three possibilities: Halcyon, Aria and Aquavina. I would appreciate advice as to atmosphere, food and location. budget not an issue. Thank you very much!

Halcyon is probably your best choice, although it is not large and can be loud when full. If you want a more formal experience, Bentley's on 27 might be an option.

Emeril Lagasse's new restaurant, E2, might be worth considering too.

I agree with carolinadawg, Halcyon is a great choice, as is E2. I give a slight edge to Halcyon because it's been around longer, all the kinks are worked out and the chef and food are local. E2 does appear to have a more intimate atmosphere conducive to conversation, but the view of the skyline and the terrace at Halcyon are gorgeous. It's a toss up I guess.

I haven't been to bentleys on 27 and haven't heard much about it.

I ate at Bentleys years ago and was not impressed. I'd compare it to a mediocre hotel restaurant. The view is very nice though and might be a good place for a pre-dinner drink.
