I know this restaurant fills a niche-- vegetarian, kosher in Chinatown. I ate there last night: food and service both poor. I won't be going back. I've certainly had better vegetarian Chinese.
Many, if not most of their menu items are standard American-Chinese fare: General Tso's, Beef with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Pork, Lemon Chicken etc. The current owner is from Manchuria and I wish they would be more adventurous.
Back around '89 through about '95, they were pretty great. The last time I did a vegan place in Chinatown, it was Cherry Street Vegetarian, and they were pretty great...but we're still talking some years ago.
