Steak and Seafood in DC.

I'll be visiting my son in DC soon. He's a steak eater and I enjoy seafood. I'd like suggestions as to restaurants that would satisy both our culinary tastes.

Phenomenal fish and seafood, as fresh as it gets and great preparations: Black Salt. You will need a car or be willing to take a taxi as it is not near public transportation. Downtown area - pricey and classic but very good - Oceannaire Seafood Room. BIG menu.

Steak: Ray's the Steaks, Clarendon. Ray's the Classics, Silver Spring. Great steaks, great wine list (and great sommelier), excellent sides. At great prices. Much better than the "big guys" such as The Palm, Charlie Palmer, Ruth's Chris. Better food, better prices. Nothing fancy. Very plain decor.

The Palm, The Prime Rib, BLT Steak, Ruths Chris Steakhouse all have great steak, great seafood.
