Italian near Rouge Hotel?

Coming to DC and already have reservation for Birch & Barley. Will probably also go to Estadio, Hank's Oyster and Pearl Dive. Now I'm thinking Italian would be excellent, too. Any suggestions for something close by, delicious and maybe not too crazy-expensive? Thanks!

Posto is pretty good, moderately priced, and across the street from Estadio.
I'd recommend Potenza, which is south of Thomas Circle, and maybe only a 10-15 min walk away.

Tosca isn't nearby, but isn't that far, and if you are willing to eat on the early side (pre-theater menu) it's not crazy expensive.

Not sure what counts as crazy-expensive, but based on your other choices, I'd recommend Bibiana, if only to get you to stray from the 14th street neighborhood (which, while excellent, isn't the ONLY food neighborhood in town). Graffiato might be fun for a bit more lively and casual. I love the rest of your choices though. Well done.

I agree with both of these recs....some of the best Italian in town but both totally different from each other. Neither is walking distance to the Rouge Hotel though. If you want to stay nearby Casa Nonna is probably a 15 minute walk or so and very good.
