Whatever happened to it?

It made the best whole lobster in coconut saffron curry sauce I have ever had (well, maybe it's the only time I tried that dish but it was delicious).

Mako can now be found at Robata-Ya on Sawtelle in "Little Osaka" - you might find some of the old dishes in their specials, but it's more of a sushi/yakitori bar.

foodiemahoodie is right, the Mako machine is at Robata-ya, but the culinary focus is quite different. However, if you call Robata-Ya (in the evening, and ask for Lisa) my guess is that they will be happy to make some old favs from Mako, if you desire.
