Almost drove out of my lane on Rt 3 when I saw the billboard for this place...says coming to Clifton Commons Spring 2012... I'm wondering if it's going to replace the restaurant next to Shannon Rose or if it's going in another spot. Nothing on their website yet, but I seem to recall a place with this name in NYC...just don't want to get my hopes up. Yet. Anyone know anything more?

  1. You can be confident and not get your hopes up; the Frankies (Castronovo and Falcinelli of Manhattan and Brooklyn's Frankies Spuntino and Brooklyn's Prime Meats) are not involved.

You are correct, sir! I did say I couldn't remember... Now I'm laughing.

    2. It is going into the spot next to the Shannon Rose.. The old Johnnie Carrino.

      2. It looks like Spuntino Wine Bar & Tapas is part of the Dohery Enterprise group that operates four restaurant concepts including: Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Panera Bread, Chevys Fresh Mex, and their own concept, The Shannon Rose Irish Pub.

        1. Got an email that they're now open. I have to say that the chef's bio has me more excited than I was when I originally read about the place--as does the menu. I'll certainly be checking it out soon.
