Barton's chocolate matzos

mommysmazal Mar 20, 2012 04:13 PM

Can't seem to find a favorite since my children were little. Bartons made chocolate, milk and pareve, chocolate matzo. This wasn't the chocolate covered matzah. This was a square of chocolate with crushed nuts with score lines to look like matzah. Came three to a box. Silver box was milk, blue box was pareve. Amazing Savings had a bunch of Batons but not that. Have no idea who carries Bartons anymore. Usually bought it through a school fund raising sale but no one seems to be doing that anymore. Help finding it would be appreciated.

Don't know if it's too late to order.

Thank you Queenscook - that is an amazing find. I am going to try and order from them even though it's past the cutoff date for Southern California. This transplanted NY'er needs her barton's for passover!

Thank you everyone. I called Miss Chocolate, turns out they have an outlet store. They are way out on Long Island and too time consuming for me to go but the gentleman I spoke with said they could mail them. They had milk and bittersweet chocolate and were $5 a box or 2 for $9. They charged me $12 for shipping, but my time is way more valuable than that and with the price of gas the 100 mile round trip would cost more than that. So if anyone wants Bartons, try the Miss Chocolate outlet. Thanks to all and Chag Kasher V'Sameach.

        Kosher Gourmet Magazine
        Hi Mommysmazal!
Back in 2007, you posted asking if anyone had back issues of Kosher Gourmet Magazine. Today, while cleaning out some files, a member of my family found a copy of The Kosher Gourmet Magazine dated Nisan 5747- April 1987. Editor and Publisher Gil Marks. Mint condition. Interested? Osehtov@yahoo.com.
(BTW, the answer to your Barton's question is probably at www.Bartonscandy.com)

I wish Chowhound had a private messaging function. It'd make these things so much easier.
