Baltimore Cafe

Is there a cafe where patrons can get brunch or just tea and sit around for a couple hours not being rushed by wait staff in Baltimore? I used to go to Domku, enjoy brunch then sit for a while doing work or reading a book undisturbed. I have been trying to find a place like Domku in Baltimore without much luck. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

My favorite is Red Canoe in Lauraville (NE Baltimore). http://www.redcanoe.bz/ Definitely an ideal place to hang out all day. It has great muffins, soups, sandwiches, coffee, chai... and indoor and outdoor seating. They close around 5pm though... so if you are looking for an evening option, you could try Chocolatea http://www.chocolateacafe.com/, over by John's Hopkins Univ and One World Cafe, or Charmingtons http://www.facebook.com/charmingtons or One the Hill http://www.onthehillcafe.com/

I'd recommend the Village Square Cafe at Cross Keys. Perfect for what you described. One World Cafe (near Hopkins) may also be a good place to try.
