Showstopper cakes Oakland/Berkeley/Albany

Would love recommendations -- I'm looking for somewhere in the East Bay to buy a couple of spectacular-looking cakes that aren't fondant-coated confections and which taste delicious -- something along the lines of Delessio's cakes.

Crixa meets yumminess factor but I'd love even more drama in a cake...

Thanks!

I really think you can't beat Masse's for a cool, modern look.

Thanks everyone! Good to know Crixa can glam it up if asked.

Masse's do drama and taste terrific (way better than Delessio imo). Katarina Rozelle on College Ave in Oakland is also strong re delicious taste and beautiful presentation. That said, I'm a Crixa gal, so delighted to hear they'll do spectacle w/ notice.

Crixa makes fancier-looking cakes by special order.

Have you tried Massa's? I don't eat much cake, but I think Crixa is excellent and I have had really tasty stuff from Massa's. They are more decorative than Crixa.
