Recs for Albemarle/Norwood NC area.

Folks driving in next month. Know its a stretch. Good food, nice env. please. Know a few BBQ & fried fish places. Looking for better. Theres gotta be something at least a bit upscale for lunch! Hafta leave out exotics. These peaople don't do Thai! I have faith in Y'all.

Try Off The Square in Albemarle.

concur. Off the Square is passable which is best you can get (my experience is limited, to be sure). Assume your visitors are coming to The Fork. Nothing I mean nothing to eat in the area.Why would you even mention Thai in NC?

I know! I was born and raised in Albemarle. No Thai! Just go to the Whispering Pines. We always called it the Whisling Pig.

Not sure what you mean by that...in Albemarle is Thai Spice and Sushi, which gets a 96% "likes it" rating on another site. NC has many great Thai restaurants. It's not an absurb concept.
