Ennju's Salmon Crisp Skin Don

Everyone, well most of us, have a place or two that represents a compromise between location and consensus vs the best which no one else in the party wants which is just a few (10) blocks off. Ennju is one of those places I go to because I for profound company. I was happy to get a really solid dish. I love most any hash like dish and this rice hash gets to the just fine spot.

I love Ennju's Salmon Skin Don also. It's a solid meal that is under $10 and isn't bad for you. That is a tall order in this neighborhood these days.
I don't use the lime wedge that they include with the dish. I think it ruins the dish. But that's not a complaint because I'm sure there are those out there who couldn't live without the lime wedge!

I've never had the Salmon Crisp Skin Don, but overall...it's ok. Nothing special.

Mostly to go. Premade sushi and other dishes. wewwew nailed it: compromise between location and the best. Not a bad takeout option (especially if your takeout reference point is Midtown delis, as mine is much of the week). The salmon skin donburi is on my list for next time.

Had it again like it again. It is garnished with salmon roe, cucumber, and a wedge of lime.
