Accidentally bought a cherry chip cake mix. What can I do with it?
I foolishly grabbed 3 on sale cake mixes off the shelf thinking they were all chocolate fudge like the first one. Now I have a cherry chip, the only mix I don't like and don't have a "fix" for. Can anyone help me?
Hi! What about that classic, tacky sweet and salty buttery oh-so-delicious and wrong Dump Cake? Or as the base for maybe a Black Forest Torte? You could tarte that up with some Kirsch and good chocolate frosting., or make an ice-cream cake, with some good ice cream layered with the cake, re-frozen, and sliced crosswise. (Loaf pan.) One thing that will help is a heaping t. vanilla into the mix - or about half that of almond flavoring. And a few dried cherries.
