Good eats near North End of the Strip?

  • 8

We're going to be at the Hilton Grand Vacations and apparently there's not much else around there. We won't have a car, but we're willing to take cabs.

We've already planned a meal at Lotus of Siam (super excited!!!), which seems to be a pretty close cab ride, but other than that where to go???

We're open to all suggestions-except for the restos at the Cosmo, MGM and Bellagio. We're more interested in the hidden gems at the north end.

Thanks for any suggestions!

  1. Mundo offers upscale Mexican food in a nice setting. Their happy hour offers some very good deals. We have dined there several time and never been disappointed. They are located just north of the Premium Outlet Mall on Grand Central Parkway.

You might want to search the board for downtown options as well.

Awesome thanks! We were thinking of finding a good Mexican place since we don`t have good Mexican in Toronto. We`ll check it out for sure.

+1 recommendation for Mundo and their happy hours (in the bar area) are terrific!

      2. I dined at The Barrymore a couple weeks ago and can't say enough good things about the place. Very impresesd with the food, service, and decor. Ingredients are top notch and expertly prepared. Prices are very reasonable, much less than you'd pay for the same stuff right around the corner at a strip resort. They have a pretty strong bev program as well. Great cocktails and they have a list of 50 wines under $50. This place is truly a hidden gem and I can't recommend it enough. It's located less than a mile away from HGV within the Royal Resort on Cenvention Center. I had difficulty making reservations online through open table, but when I called they were able to accomodate me without a problem.

Looks pretty retro! Deviled eggs! Thanks for the tip about calling in vs. Open Table. I`ll definitely keep this place in mind.

Good rec on this one-I like that it`s 24 hours. I was worried that near our hotel there wouldn`t be anything decent to eat in those wee hours of the morning.
