Are you drinking anything special on St Patrick's Day?

Irish whiskey? Green drinks?

Picked up the new cask strength version of Redbreast 12 year old pure pot still.

Greenspot, still my favorite whiskey although the newest bottle I got seems heavier than past bottlings. It reminds me more of the Jameson 18 rather than the light finesse that I associate with Greenspot.

Out of the house, always powers. Everyone I've introduced this too ends up falling in love. It's a great all around whiskey and I find it has a lot more character than similarly priced Jameson/Bushmills. Anyone tried the Powers 12 year?

I did finally break down and buy a bottle of Powers yesteday, since my Clontarf was getting toward the end. I don't find Irish whiskey all that interesting but do keep a bottle on hand.

This year I'm actually hosting an Irish whiskey tasting with a few friends who mainly stick to beer... figured St. Patty's was a good excuse to introduce them.
