Looking for a flexible, offbeat caterer in or near Northampton, MA?

I am getting married in Northampton, MA, but it's really just a big party for family and friends, and not a traditional reception. Our top priority is great food, but not the typical fancy, or traditional wedding foods. . . we're looking for something different. I've been looking along the lines of gourmet burgers, gourmet hotdog bar, clam bake, donut bar, etc. Since we are two different cultures, we are planning to get Asian food, but I was looking for an offbeat caterer who was willing to be flexible, allow outside food, but help set up too. I know it's a lot to ask, but if anyone has suggestions on great food they've had at an event, that would be great too! Also suggestions on delicious party platters, salads, take out trays etc. would also be appreciated :)

i'd suggest checking out electric cocktail party in easthampton <<http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Ele...>>. same folks that run capt. jack's clam shack, which i linked to elsewhere. i've never hired them, but ive had parties where some of the principals attended and brought food, and it was always great.

I'm really interested in the Electric Cocktail Factory. I ate at Captain Jack's this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised by the clam roll and clam chowder. I will def. check them out, thanks for the tip! If anyone else knows or has pics of The Electric Cocktail Factory or one of their events, I would be very interested to see and hear more because I think they go beyond food and help out with decor and party planning too.

I've heard good things about Pengyew (http://www.pycatering.com)

I used Pengyew Chin for my wedding and he was great and very flexible. We brought in outside appetizers for example. I really loved working with him.

I would also look into the Electric Cocktail Party. I've been to events where they've catered and loved their Vindaloo hummus. And Captain Jack's is delicious!

Pengyew did my 40th birthday party, it was wonderful, though pricey.
