Good Mexican in Everett?

Can anyone recommend a good Mexican restaurant suitable to take 8 and 6 year old girls? Thanks!

  1. It's about 15 minutes south of Everett but our favorite spot in the area was Taqueria El Antojo (formerly La Fondita) on 99 in Lynnwood. It's definitely suitable for kids.

Staying in Everett, my favorite spot was the Mexican grocery store at the intersection of 99 and Everett Mall Way. It's not really a restaurant though, just some tables and a counter in the back of the store.

If the weather is nice enough, they should enjoy eating under the shelter beside a taco truck, or even take out from the truck, eaten at a nearby park.

The whole drive on 99 south from Everett to the county line has Mexican/Hispanic shopping and small restaurants. I'm more familiar with the south end, such as El Antojo, and Sabor in Shoreline, as well as a truck just south of 99Ranch Edmonds. Up Everett way I make a point of shopping at the large grocery at the intersection of 99 and Everett Mall Way, but haven't stopped for a bite to eat up that way.

    2. For a sit down restaurant, I suggest La Palmera (Hwy 99 and Airport, past the Wendy's heading North on 99).

An even more casual (order at the counter and wait for your order to be called) restaurant, I like Taqueria El Rinconsito (7th and Evt Mall Way next to the Valero Gas Station). Across the street is another restaurant La Hacienda, which isn't bad, but I prefer La Palmera.

      1. La Palmera and Frida's in Mill Creek come to mind.
