In search of sunny bar/dining spots in LA
I'm a foodie, like the rest, but also a DJ. I'm feeling starved for casual/unpretentious spots with a great view or outdoor amenities that would allow a live DJ to create some ambience.
If you've ever thought, "This spot is great. It just needs some good music and it would be perfect..." please post suggested venues. Greater LA, South Bay to Pasadena.
I'm not interested in banging it out club style (although, I am happy to go there if the proprietors are interested). More, creating a nice lounge vibe, that could possibly end up in some light grooving, if people are feeling it. Ecclectic sounds. Ethnic, bossa nova, afro beat, deep house, Rare groove, funk... Intelligent, pretty thought-provoking to feel-good grooviness.
Not sure why it is so hard to bring together good food/drink, lovely venue, good music and good people, but I'm hoping to create a solution to that, with your help.
