Eli Zabar opened a takeout place very close to the Whitney. it can't be two blocks south. looked like some very nice sandwiches and such.

If you walk up to Madison & 85th you could go to Dean & Deluca...also a nice part of the park to enter.

Maybe Untitled at the Whitney will let you order sandwiches and desserts to go? Worth inquiring.

You could also get macarons at Laduree.

Do you know how the line is at Laduree these days?

The line was short last weekend. I waited just a few minutes around lunchtime.
