dinner in uptown area over Napoleon weekend
Whoops! Forgot to make dinner reservations for the dinner break during Napoleon at the Paramount the weekend of March 24. Flora, Plum, Ozumo and Pican are booked. I made a res at Mua,which I suspect might be too loud for our out-of town guests. I've never eaten there. Maybe it won't be so loud at 5:30? Any other ideas?

Olufé, the African / Caribbean place right behind the theater at 2202 Telegraph (formerly 2022 and Ave), is quiet since it's pretty much unknown.
Mua's not usually too noisy that early, especially at the front, unless the DJ cranks up the volume, which can happen.

Last time I was at Mua that early the place was 1/3 full and very pleasant. It's a great all-arounder, with a nice funky oakland vibe. it has a high ceiling which I imagine can get loud, but the tables aren't stuffed terribly tight.
You could go to some of the actual quiet restaurants down at JLS, like Yoshi's or Scott's.
