Mid-city Birthday Place for Vegetarian Foodie

I'm thinking Mozza, but want to make sure I've considered the possibilities. We live in SM, and our go-to places are Gjelina and Rustic Canyon (and now Milo & Olive), so we just need something good with enough vegetarian options to give a little choice.

We were going to do Melisse, but we ended up going to Charlie Trotter's on a trip to Chicago, which depleted our dining out budget considerably. So, we'd at least like to have a shot at keeping it under $125 with a bottle of wine. Anything between the 405 and Downtown would work, as she's determined to get out of Santa Monica, but we don't want to spend half the evening in the car...

I think Pizzeria Mozza is a great choice for you.

She does not eat fish. Standard vegetarian - eggs and dairy OK, no flesh.

Hmmm, that's a good question. What about Angelini Osteria? I've always enjoyed their pumpkin ravioli and their pizza's are so light and crisp. I think the food would set you back about $40 (not sure if this would include appetizer) so you'd have enough in your budget to get some wine.
