El Tiempo's Red Salsa
I went to college in Houston and have been away for about 4 years now. I still can't get the taste of El Tiempo's red salsa out of my head. It is different than any other salsa I've ever had - it is served warm and there's a rich, tomato sauce esque quality to it. I've scoured the web looking for recipes to no success. Has anyone successfully made a copy or seen a recipe out there? Please share if so!

You might try Houston Classic Mexican Recipes by Erin Miller which has recipes from local restaurants. I hope your post survives here. I posted a request for a recipe from a popular New Mexico restaurant in the Southwest board where people who are familiar with the place would see it. It was moved to "home cooking" where no one who knew the answer would see it. Sigh.
