Cafe Boulangerie - Hyannis, MA

Went here with my daughter after the chilly but festive St. Paddy's Day Parade. The placed was mobbed. Scored a deuce in back. I ordered the warm chick pea Arugula salad and cup of house clam/mussel chowder. Marguerite ordered a grilled mozzarella proscuitto sandwich and French onion soupe. Lunch was served quickly despite the crowd. Everything was tasty but we ordered too much! I also ordered my salad sans onion and it came loaded. I spent the lunch picking them out. Fun spot...please note, the food remains a tad bit salty for my taste...

Visited here Saturday also, maybe about 4.00 pm.. Place still very busy. YAY!
Picked up some cheese bread and a raspberry bar.

The cheese bread needs more cheese, but still the best I've found on Cape Cod. Last time I was in Wellfleet, PB ran out. The customer in front of me bought the last loaf! so I can't compare.

Always happy with what ever I get here. Last summer I got in the habit of stopping buy to pick up a "saucisson beurre". (salami & butter on a baguette) I love that stuff. I'd love it more if the bread were a bit softer, Maybe I'll go again tomorrow to see if they still have it in the basket on the counter.

Service is friendly enough, but difficult sometimes. The quarters are cramped, there is not always a clearly defined line and some patrons don't have any qualms aboiut speaking up without giving any consideration to whether or not it's their "turn."

Once I was in and they had an unadvertised "Buy 1 Get 1 free" bread special!
