Do you use something called optimizely.com? When browsing Chowhound, the Back command in my browser hangs indefinitely with a status message "Waiting for log3.optimizely.com."

I get slow loading while seeing the same message for optimizely.com, but not a hang; it loads eventually.

i posted a complaint about it a while back. it's not you, it's the site. i worked around it for a while by installing a NoScript add-on, but it was too much of a hassle because it was blocking too many scripts on other sites that i actually wanted to run.

engineering said they were working on it back then, and it did eventually resolve for me...for the most part. i still occasionally see the script when a page gets hung up here on CH.

what OS & browser are you running?

eek. i'm a Mac girl. hopefully someone else who's familiar with Windows & Google Chrome can help you, but i did a quick search and it looks like your best bet may be to install Scriptno:

Robert I use a laptop windows 7 running chrome. I am a tad confused by what you mean using the 'back" command. I'll try to trouble shoot this with you.

Also what extensions do you have in use and what version of Chrome?

I have not seen that at all. Just wondering, Robert, if your local ISP might be doing something?

I seriously doubt Comcast is rewriting page headers:
