Lunch in Santa Barbara

Taking my daughter who goes to UCSB out for lunch. Have been to the seafood restaurants on the pier as well as Hindry's. Any other ideas in S B or closer to school?

Hollister Brewing Company is close to UCSB and has great food (and beer). Stella Mare's is lovely, with delicious food but at SB/Montecito border. Those are two of our favorite lunch spots.

The closest restaurant to UCSB (Goleta) is Beach Side Bar Cafe on the water next to the pier.
It's been there for ages and would be a nice place for you and your daughter to walk afterward.
If you want to travel in to town a nice lunch spot is Olio E Limone.
It's a lovely setting with very good Italian and has its own pizzeria...delicious.
Upper State has a nice restaurant called "Jane"...great salads, soups and a lovely ambiance.
Lower State has lots of Indian restaurants and some are quite good...college students seem to migrate to this area.
Crushcakes (upper State) has a cafe with panini and soups and some of the nicest cupcakes I've found anywhere.

Of course there's also Bistro @ Bacara...up the road from UCSB on Hollister.
Close to the school with a nice lunch menu, I've enjoyed their seafood, overlooking the ocean.
