Otto's Pizza coming to Coolidge Corner

  • 7

This was already mentioned in the February Openings thread but I thought I would mention it seperately. Otto's Pizza is taking over the Friendlys Express sight in Coolidge Corner. They will have seating for about 60 (I was told) and work is progressing. Hopefully they will open soon. They are across from the theatre and Upper Crust. Nice to have an alternative to UC and good pizza in an area lacking in an exceptional pie.

  1. I am looking forward to sitting down and trying an entire pie hot from the oven. I'm in the minority in that I was underwhelmed wIth the Harvard Square location. I attribute it partly to the pies sitting fnished in the window and reheated slices. I live closeby and really never go there. (Still better than Upper Crust though).

    1. This is the same as the Portland, ME place? Their pizza is freakin' awesome. High level New York style.

      Good riddance Friendly's.

        2. LOVE their pizza! Can't wait.....Love the Italian model of choosing from so many options....

Good news! The new Ecco Pizza on Comm Ave in Allston is also a notable improvement to the neighborhood pizza scene, which I agree, has been dire for some time.
