Best Lobster (and/or lobster roll) in Monmouth/Ocean counties?

my main Lobster Roll joint as of late has been Luke's in Manhattan. Their truck comes by my office once a week and is amazingly great, but I'm looking for a good spot for this weekend. Any recommendations?

  1. Thought I posted a similar query last year, but it must be my imagination as I can't find it. I must have had six or so lobster rolls last summer in Monmouth County that were at best average and for the most part pretty bad. I hope someone has some suggestions as well.

Ok, alright. It's time to educate the 'newbies', or recent northshore transplants LOL. You want great Lobster Rolls? Sorry, they don't exist down here in any quality - nobody seems to want to bother - You are going to have to get on #95 north and have the Tappan Zee recede from your rear view mirror for about an hour or so before you can set your feet under a table for that goodness.

If you want the best Lobster bisque around (it ain't cheap as the last time I had it, it was all of $22 a bowl - may have had a full lobster in it and was a meal in of itself) - Harry's in Sea Bright - the room interior hasn't grown nor been touched since the late 50's, but the food is incredible.

Try it and let us know what you think.
